Job summary

Evergreen Public Schools at Frontier Middle School in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator to support students under the supervision of the Special Education Instructor and Building Principal.

This temporary, part-time role runs about 6 hours daily (9:35 a.m.–4:05 p.m.) with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, for 190 days per year. Starting date is Immediate. Salary placement follows the PSE Large Group schedule with potential experience credit and comprehensive EPS benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Qualifying options include passing ETS ParaPro or other listed credentials.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and parents.
• Ability to supervise students and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing special education services and supports.
• Provide one-to-one or small group instruction as directed by the teacher.
• Help maintain a positive learning environment aligned with goals.
• Record student progress and assist with data collection for IEP goals.
• Assist in administering tests and scoring when needed.
• Implement behavioral management strategies as outlined by the teacher.
