Job summary

Evergreen Public Schools, Heritage High School in Vancouver, Washington, is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator to support instructional activities for students with IEPs. This position is part-time, 6 hours daily during the school year, with additional early-release day hours and a 190-day calendar.

Under the supervision of the Special Education instructor and building principal, you will provide one-on-one and small-group support, assist with data collection, and implement behavioral

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years old and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet one or more: 455+ on ETS ParaPro; or an Associate degree or higher; or 72 quarter credits / 48 semester credits at 100 level+; or completion of a Paraeducator Apprenticeship Program.
• If you do not meet the required qualifications, you will be screened out.
• Upon hire, complete state required training offered through Evergreen School District.

Responsibilities

• Provide special education services and supports to eligible students under teacher direction.
• Assist in one-to-one and small group instruction to meet IEP goals.
• Maintain data on student progress and contribute to progress monitoring.
• Implement behavioral management strategies as outlined by the teacher.
