Job summary

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience requirements: HS diploma plus college credit or paraprofessional assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with instruction under the direction of the special education teacher.
• Assist teacher in maintaining discipline in the classroom.
• Assist teacher with instructional activities and materials preparation.
• Escort students between rooms and supervise during recess and lunch.
• High level of responsibility for toileting students as required.
• Assist with implementation of IEPs and documentation as needed.
• Notify teachers of problems or concerns observed in students.
• Collaborate with staff to support both special ed and general education students.
