Job summary

New Milford Public Schools is seeking ParaEducators at Schaghticoke Middle School to support special education students under PPT and IEP with guidance from teachers and administrators. This is a full-time ParaEducator position across multiple middle school classrooms.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, and either an Associate’s degree or 60 college credits or Paraprofessional Assessment, plus experience with children.

• High school diploma required.
• Associate's degree or 60 college credits, or Parapro Assessment passed.
• Experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in supervising and instructing students as outlined in PPT/IEP.
• Implement individual and small group interventions under supervision.
• Assist in applying strategies and handling instructional materials and equipment.
• Support substitute teachers when needed.
• Attend Professional Development as required.
