Part-Time: 20 hours per week

Special Education Paraeducator to support middle school students within a specialized program, helping them navigate academic, social, and emotional growth in a structured, supportive setting.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Support middle school students with diverse learning needs, providing academic, behavioral, and social‑emotional assistance.
• Collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement individual instructional and behavioral plans.
• Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment where all students feel welcome.
• Provide individual and small‑group support as directed by certified staff.
• Adapt to evolving student needs and assist with daily classroom activities and transitions.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment or at least 60 college credits from an accredited institution
• Experience working in a school system is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with young adolescents, showing patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Ability to follow directions from certified staff, maintain a high degree of professionalism, and ensure student confidentiality at all times

Start date: 2026-2027 School Year

Rate of pay: $20.36 – $22.50 per hour (based on contractual requirements)
