The position requires a high school diploma with potential for highly qualified status within 90 days; district training will be provided. Workdays align with student calendar and 6.75 hours daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Highly qualified designation required or ability to obtain highly qualified status within 90 days of hire.
• District provides training to meet highly qualified status.
• Experience working with students with special needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a contributing member of the special education team.
• Implement individual student behavior plans and provide positive reinforcement.
• Support academic programs and keep students on task.
• Provide feedback to teachers about activities and student participation.
• Assist with IEP accommodations and modifications to foster independence.
• Assist with mobility and daily living activities as needed.
• Accompany students on school-related community outings and district vehicle use.
