Job summary

The Monterey County Office of Education is looking for a Paraeducator to assist in special education classrooms. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant certifications such as First Aid and CPR.

As a Paraeducator, you will support instructional activities, promote development for students with disabilities, and maintain required credentialing standards. Incentives available for proficiency in sign language and specialized health care procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus two years of higher education study or an Associate's degree.
• Certifications required include First Aid, CPR, and Crisis Intervention Program.
• Experience working with children with disabilities is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in supporting instructional activities for special education students.
• Help implement behavioral management plans for students with disabilities.
• Administer and maintain certifications such as First Aid and CPR.
