Qualifications

• High School diploma required; college coursework in special education or child development preferred.
• Must be able to take direction from teachers and the building administration.
• Experience with students at various ages and with multiple behaviors or special needs preferred.
• Moderate to heavy lifting and health/personal care tasks may be required; CPI/CPR training preferred.
• Experience supporting students with physical, cognitive, or behavioral disabilities preferred.
• Must be patient, consistent, and flexible; passionate about assisting students with varying abilities.

Responsabilités

• Assists students individually, in small groups, or in whole-class settings, delivering positive behavioral supports.
• Monitors and builds student independence in behavior, personal care, and functional skills.
• Assists teachers in organizing classroom materials, making copies, filing information, and data collection.
• Assists and supports students with disabilities in all school environments and delivers accommodations when applicable.
• Direct support to individual students with behavior, health, and personal care needs, where applicable.
