Job summary

Washoe County School District seeks a Special Education Paraeducator Aide II to assist teaching staff in a variety of instructional activities within a SPED classroom. Provides individualized or group support based on student needs and may serve in multiple SPED programs.

Incumbent assists with IEP goals, behavior support, and data collection while maintaining confidentiality and safety in all school settings. Must be able to lift 50–80 pounds and obtain CPI certification if required.

Qualifications

• Any education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and skills.
• Ability to lift/move students weighing 50–80 pounds daily and repetitively.
• Possession or ability to obtain a CPI Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with intellectual, physical, or behavioral disabilities in various settings.
• Follow safety procedures and support life skills and daily routines.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and progress.
