Job summary

Washoe County School District seeks a Paraeducator Aide II to assist in special education classrooms under supervision. You will support teachers across various SPED programs, provide individual or group assistance, and help with health, hygiene and daily living tasks as needed.

The role covers programs such as CLS, EC, SIP, STRATEGIES, and more, including one-on-one support and adherence to IEPs. This is a structured school environment with emphasis on safety and student progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience in educational settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in special education classrooms and provide individual or group assistance as needed.
• Support students with intellectual, physical or behavioral disabilities and help implement IEP goals.
• Move and assist students, operate classroom equipment and support health and hygiene activities.
• Communicate with teachers about concerns and observations and help maintain classroom safety.
