Job summary

The Washoe County School District is seeking a Paraeducator Assistant II in Special Education to support instructional activities and record-keeping. You will assist teachers with individual and group instruction, prepare materials, and help maintain data and progress for students.

This position emphasizes data collection, behavior management support, and collaboration with the SPED team to implement IEP goals in a Title I setting as applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting in special education settings preferred.
• Able to develop and maintain instructional materials and records.
• Capable of data collection and basic behavioral data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff with individual and group instruction.
• Develop lesson outlines and prepare teaching aids.
• Observe progress and refer concerns to the classroom teacher.
• Prepare classrooms and audio-visual equipment for use.
• Maintain student discipline and orderly environments in various areas.
