Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional Elementary and Special Education teacher with an SEI endorsement to join our community of educators. This role focuses on inclusive classroom practices, serving students with diverse needs and English learners, and aligning instruction to district and state standards.

Reporting to the Principal, you will implement goals for IEPs, provide small-group support, assess progress, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure high expectations and equitable

Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree.
  • Massachusetts Elementary 1-6 license and Moderate Disabilities PK-8 with SEI or ESL endorsement.
  • Fully licensed and Highly Qualified per state guidelines.
  • Authorized to work in the United States by start date.
  • Meet Boston Public Schools standards.

Responsibilities

  • Teach elementary general curriculum including SEI learners.
  • Provide small-group instruction for students with moderate to severe delays.
  • Write IEP goals and report progress to families.
  • Provide accommodations and adapt curriculum as needed for MCAS Alternates.
  • Collaborate with staff to respond to student needs and modifications.
