Job summary

Strong teamwork, discretion, and comfort with assistive tech are essential; experience with diverse learners is preferred. This is a school-site, noncertified position requiring a high school diploma and CPI training as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supports teachers in coordinating instructional programs for students with IEPs.
• Assists with behavioral intervention plans and classroom routines.
• Prepares materials, organizes activities, and ensures materials are available.
• Demonstrates professionalism to support student achievement and school goals.
• Maintains calm, positive demeanor while supervising students for safety.
• Supports use of assistive technology and AAC devices in class.
• Compiles and files reports; maintains confidentiality of records.
• Participates in staff development and district training.
• Assists with student transitions between classes and basic health care needs.
• Provides one-on-one support for students with severe disabilities when assigned.
