Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ESSA requirements: six semester hours in early childhood education or two years of related experience.
• CPI certification required and renewal timelines followed.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to teachers coordinating instructional programs for students with IEPs.
• Assists teachers with implementing behavioral intervention plans.
• Aids in planning and organizing instructional activities and preparing materials.
• Demonstrates professional skills to support student achievement.
• Maintains confidentiality and handles reports and records appropriately.
• Supports transitions between classes and assists with health care needs.
• Assists with use of low- and high-tech assistive tech and AAC devices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
