Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Maintain CPI certification; CPI training provided through Wake County Public School System (WCPSS).
• For Title I Schools: meet ESSA requirements (six hours of early childhood coursework OR two years of early childhood work experience).

Responsibilities

• Provides support to teachers in coordinating instructional programs for special education students and IEPs.
• Assists teachers with implementing behavioral intervention plans.
• Assists in planning and organizing instructional activities and preparing materials.
• Demonstrates professional and technical skills to support student achievement.
• Maintains confidentiality and handles records per FERPA and regulations.
• Coordinates student transitions between classes and supports health care needs as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
