Job summary

Wake County Public School System is seeking an Instructional Assistant-Special Education to support students with IEPs and assist in implementing instructional programs. You will help with behavioral plans, materials prep, and maintaining a positive classroom environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CPI certification preferred, and a commitment to confidentiality and student safety. Regular Monday–Friday duties with occasional after-hours needs may apply.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and Google Apps.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality under FERPA and district policies.
• Familiarity with instructional delivery methods and classroom routines.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with coordinating instructional programs and implementing IEPs.
• Support behavioral intervention plans and classroom procedures.
• Prepare materials, monitor student progress, and promote safety.
• Maintain confidential records and participate in professional development.
