Job summary

ChanceLight, Inc. is seeking an Instructional Aide II to support students in Grades K-12 within Spectrum Center Schools and Programs.

You will work closely with teachers to implement individualized strategies, contribute to progress reports, and help students achieve their educational goals in a dynamic, student-centered environment. The role involves hands-on coaching, transportation of students when required, crisis intervention, and detailed documentation to ensure student safety and progress

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or related field.
• Ability to obtain CA Emergency 30 Day Sub Permit within 90 days of starting.
• Valid CA driver’s license and ability to drive a company van.
• Crisis management certification or ability to obtain one.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting children; special education or behavioral health preferred.
• Experience with IEP/ITP/PBIP planning and personalized instruction.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office and basic office equipment.
• Willingness to transport students within the community.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized support to students in Grades K-12, enriching classroom effectiveness.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement individualized strategies aligned with IEP/ITP/PBIP.
• Contribute to progress reports, data sheets, and curriculum modifications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student behaviors and safety procedures.
• Participate in data collection and support development of Functional Behavioral Assessments.
• Provide job coaching and hands-on vocational training on campus and community sites.
• Assist with physical care needs, safety monitoring, and crisis intervention when needed.
• Support classroom operations, substitute teaching, and staff orientation.

Education
