ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking an Instructional Aide to support students in Grades K-12 within our special education programs. You will assist with IEP implementation, provide personalized instruction, supervision and guidance in classrooms and community settings.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, behavior support, documentation and ongoing professional growth.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent w/ passage of basic skills test.
• Associate degree or higher in education or a related field preferred.
• Hold currently or have the ability to obtain a valid CA state driver's license.
• Ability to obtain and maintain certification in crisis management training.
• Licensed paraprofessional or related credential preferred.
• Experience providing instruction, guidance and/or support to children, preferably in special education.
• Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and related disabilities.
• Ability to think and act quickly and calmly in emergencies.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic office technology.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to create a supportive, safe, high-achieving learning environment.
• Implement individualized instruction and behavioral interventions in school and community settings.
• Instruct and monitor students during lessons, applying strategies to improve understanding and completion of courses.
• Track progress against timelines and communicate with teachers about successes and needs.
• Manage student behavior consistently in line with school policies in collaboration with teachers.
• Support students in developing community, vocational, leisure, academic and social skills.
• Document student behaviors and performance; report observations and provide recommendations to staff.
• Prepare behavioral reports and daily activity logs and related documentation.
• Communicate proactively with students, families, colleagues and administration about needs and achievements.
