Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs is seeking an Instructional Aide to support students in Grades K-12 and assist with implementing each student’s IEP. You will work closely with classroom teachers to tailor instruction and help students build essential skills in a supportive setting.

Ideal candidates demonstrate empathy, patience, and strong communication, with experience aiding children with diverse learning needs. Driving responsibilities and a community-based role are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with basic skills test.
• Associate degree or higher preferred in education or related field.
• Valid CA driver's license or ability to obtain one.
• Experience with instructional support and crisis training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support students in classrooms and community settings under supervision.
• Assist with implementing IEP goals and individualized instruction.
• Monitor and document behavior, progress, and interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers to create a welcoming learning environment.
• Provide transportation support in company van as needed before/after school.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate student needs clearly to staff.
