Job summary

The Eugene School District 4J is seeking a Special Educational Assistant to support individuals or small groups under a licensed teacher. The position follows a 196-day school year with a 7:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m. schedule, 0.875 FTE, Monday–Friday.

You will assist with instructional support, mobility, health and behavioral monitoring, and data collection to track progress. Applicants must meet Oregon's Highly Qualified standards, provide transcripts or diplomas, and document testing or certification.

Qualifications

• Official transcripts or college diploma to prove Highly Qualified status.
• Evidence of 72 credits or an associate degree as required.
• Ability to implement IEPs and related student supports.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instructional lessons and activities under licensed staff.
• Provide daily mobility and personal support for students as needed.
• Support transportation and health-related procedures per plans.
• Maintain data on student progress and adhere to safety protocols.
• Perform clerical tasks to support educational processes.
