Job summary

The Eugene School District 4J is seeking a Qualified Instructional Assistant for the 2026/27 school year on a .8125 FTE schedule (6.5 hours/day, Mon-Fri). This on-site role supports students with developmental or learning disabilities under teacher supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting in lesson planning, clerical support, monitoring progress, maintaining materials, and ensuring a safe, orderly classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of 2 years of post-secondary study with 72 credits or 48 semester credits.
• Associates or higher degree required (attach diploma).
• State/local assessment demonstrating knowledge of reading, writing and mathematics (attach scores).

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing educational and behavioral programs for students with disabilities.
• Perform clerical tasks and support instructional activities.
• Monitor student progress with periodic testing and evaluations.
• Prepare classroom materials and update displays.
• Supervise and guide students to maintain an orderly classroom environment.
