Job summary

The Eugene School District 4J is seeking a part-time Instructional Assistant (0.75 FTE, 6 hours per day) for a Monday–Friday schedule on the CL-192 calendar. The role requires Highly Qualified status per Oregon statutes and documentation to prove HQ eligibility. Eligible candidates will assist teachers, support student learning, and perform clerical tasks.

Applicants must be prepared for fingerprint clearance and an affirmative action employer policy applies. Bilingual proficiency is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous training in instructional techniques and behavior management.
• Previous training in basic clerical skills; ability to type.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing educational and behavioral management programs.
• Perform clerical tasks and prepare lessons; monitor progress and mastery with periodic testing.
• Tutor on a one-to-one or small group basis as needed.
• Prepare classroom materials using office technology and equipment.
• Supervise students to maintain an orderly and safe environment.
