Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and collaborate with teachers to plan and adapt daily instructional lessons.
• Provide daily on-time physical support for students using wheelchairs or with mobility issues.
• Assist with wheelchair transfers and use of standers or other equipment under supervision.
• Provide feeding support per established protocols and assist in student transportation when needed.
• Administer medications within district policies and state and federal laws.
• Support implementation of IEPs and BSPs and other health plans under licensed supervision.
• Maintain data tracking to monitor student progress and behavior.

Education

Associate degree in Special Education or closely related field

Two years of post-secondary study 72 credit hours / 48 semester credits

High School Diploma or GED with assessment
