Job summary

Monarch School and Institute seeks a qualified educator to join our therapeutic, learner-centered program in Houston, TX. The role reports to the Program Director and collaborates with Therapy Services to ensure consistent language, actions, and experiences for students.

Requirements include a minimum Bachelor's degree, valid teaching certification, Certification in Special Education, and certification in grade-appropriate English Language Arts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and teaching certification per state.
• Special Education certification required.
• ELA certification for grade level 6–12 preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in special education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement Monarch Integrated Methodology to strengthen relationship development with students.
• Collaborate with Therapy Services to ensure consistent language and experiences.
• Develop and implement student treatment plans.
• Learn curriculum models such as social mapping, cognitive coaching, and DIR® approaches.
• Implement instructional strategies and programs as directed by academic leadership.
• Plan and deliver lessons addressing individual differences and learning styles.
• Support and coordinate students’ therapeutic agenda with the Leadership Team.
• Report student progress regularly in designated formats.
