Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Special Education Valid Texas teaching certificate.
• Certification in grade-appropriate secondary Math.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a teacher with sufficient time in special education (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Implement Monarch Integrated Methodology to strengthen relationship development with all students.
• Collaborate with Therapy Services to ensure consistent language, actions, and experiences.
• Develop and implement student Therapeutic Education Plans.
• Learn curriculum models such as DIR®, social mapping, and project-based learning.
• Plan lessons addressing individual differences and learning styles.
• Support and coordinate students’ therapeutic needs with Leadership Team.
• Report student progress in designated formats at defined intervals.
• Supervise lunch, carpool, and off-campus activities as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development.
• Be knowledgeable of the Faculty Handbook and Parent/Student Handbook.
