Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Citywide Assessment Team Manager to oversee evaluation planning, eligibility determinations and IEPs for non-attending students under IDEA. Responsibilities include supervising teams, coordinating with OSD and CPS partners, and ensuring timely evaluations.

The role requires a Master’s degree, ISBE PEL, REACH certification, and 5 years of related experience, with CPS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education or related field.
• ISBE Professional Educator’s License (PEL) required.
• REACH certification required or within 4 months of hire.
• Minimum of five years in a school/educational setting as a Related Service Provider, Case Manager or SPED Teacher.
• Minimum of three years experience training parents, advocates and staff.
• Experience within CPS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage Citywide Assessment Teams staffing, scheduling, and training.
• Ensure evaluations follow IDEA timelines and policies.
• Coordinate liaison between CATS, OSD and CPS partners.
• Oversee ASPEN registration and referrals in SSM.
• Schedule and rotate teams for efficient evaluations and meetings.
• Provide training to stakeholders on evaluation processes.
• Support/ensure Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) for students.
