Job summary

The position requires a valid PEL in Special Education, 2+ years of experience, and strong knowledge of IDEA/504 laws. Candidates must work within CPS resources and language-access requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Special Education required or higher.
• Valid Professional Educator License in Special Education or supervisory endorsement.
• Two or more years of experience in special education.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the local district representative at IDEA and 504 meetings.
• Coordinate IEP/504 timelines and parental notifications and language access.
• Ensure data entry into SSM and maintenance of student records.
• Chair IEP and 504 conferences and collaborate with principals.
• Support staff with IDEA/504 procedures and MTSS implementation.
