Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a dedicated per diem school aide to support the Special Education Teacher in delivering academic and social-emotional programming for assigned students at Providence, RI. You will assist with daily activities, help implement IEP-aligned curricula, and collect data on behavioral and social-emotional functioning to inform progress.

Role requires comfort in a psychiatric-influenced school setting, ability to work with students who may require de‑escalation, and strong

Qualifications

For this role, a Baccalaureate Degree is preferred in education or related human services.
Basic knowledge of data entry/management programs such as Excel; Excel training may be provided on hire.
Bradley Hospital Safety Care Certification is required or expected to be completed.

Responsibilities

Assist in implementing social-emotional and behavioral programming aligned with students' IEPs.
Collect and manage data on social-emotional and behavioral functioning for assigned students.
Prepare and present verbal and written reports on student functioning.
Provide academic support and assist in the execution of curricula as directed by classroom staff.
Attend team meetings and other student-related meetings as assigned.
Observe Bradley Schools policies and participate in required meetings.
