Job summary

The Eugene School District 4J is seeking a Special Education Assistant on a 0.875 FTE/7 hour day schedule (196 days). You will support individual students or groups, implement IEPs and behavior plans, and collaborate with licensed teachers, specialists, and other staff to deliver targeted educational services.

Qualifications include meeting Oregon's Highly Qualified status, attachment of transcripts or diplomas, and experience in student support.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience working in or directly supporting students
• Associate degree or 72 credits, or higher degree, or GED with assessment
• Must meet Highly Qualified status per Oregon ORS 581-037-0006

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support daily instructional activities under licensed staff
• Assist students with mobility, transfers, and personal care needs
• Support implementation of IEPs, BSPs, and communication plans
• Monitor student progress and collect data as directed
• Provide clerical and instructional support to teachers
• Maintain attendance and collaborate with school staff and transportation
