Job summary

The Eugene School District 4J is seeking a part-time Instructional Assistant to support students with developmental or other learning disabilities on the CL-192 schedule (192 days per full school year), Monday through Friday, 8:20 a.m. to 1:20 p.m.

Under supervision of the teacher, the assistant will help plan and implement educational and behavioral management programs, monitor student progress, assist with clerical tasks and materials preparation, and support students in the Resource Room and

Qualifications

• HQ Documentation required: transcripts showing 72 quarter credit hours or 48 semester credits, or an associate degree
• Documentation showing HQ status per Oregon HQ requirements
• Ability to type and perform clerical duties

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing educational and behavioral programs
• Monitor student progress and testing records
• Prepare classroom materials and maintain filing system
• Provide one-to-one or small group tutoring
• Orient substitute teachers and assist with attendance and conferences
• Assist with preparing materials and displays in the classroom
