Job summary

Amergis seeks a School Aide to support students needing instructional and behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department. The role may also include assisting with personal mobility and therapeutic care needs as directed by health professionals.

Ideal candidates hold a High School diploma or equivalent, and may need CPR certification, health screening, and TB testing as required by policy or state regulation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable; TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable; health certificate as required by contract or state regulation.

Responsibilities

• Work with students requiring instructional and/or behavioral assistance under supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee.
• Provide support for students' personal mobility and therapeutic care needs as directed by health professionals.
