Job summary

Amergis is seeking a School Aide to support students requiring instructional and behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department and teachers. The role may also assist with personal mobility and therapeutic care needs as directed by health professionals.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 18, and meet all applicable federal, state and local requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• The School Aide works with students requiring instructional and/or behavioral assistance under supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee.
• May provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs as established by a health care professional.
