Job summary

Amergis is seeking a School Aide to support students requiring instructional and behavioral assistance under supervision of the special education team. The role may include assisting with personal mobility and therapeutic care needs as directed by health professionals.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 18, and meet applicable health and regulatory requirements. CPR, TB screening, and health certificate may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• The School Aide works with students requiring instructional and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee.
• Provides support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
