Job summary

Amergis is seeking a School Aide to support students needing instructional and behavioral assistance, under the supervision of the special education department and assigned teachers. The role may include helping with personal care and mobility, following health professional guidance.

The candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 18, and meet applicable federal, state, and local requirements, with CPR if applicable and health documentation up to date.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR certification if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist students requiring instructional and/or behavioral support.
• Work under supervision of the special education department, teacher or designee.
• Provide support for personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs as prescribed by health professionals.
