Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; 48 semester hours or an associate's degree or higher; or passed ParaPro with a score of 460+.
• HQ requires qualification in Title I setting as applicable.
• Experience in special education environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in a special education classroom with instructional activities.
• Provide attendant services to students with various disabilities (e.g., diapering, toileting, feeding) as needed.
• Record student progress toward goals and help develop instructional materials and charts.
• Support instruction in life skills and functional academics; assist with wheelchair, equipment, and transportation tasks.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information and assist with behavior plans.
