Job summary
Washoe County School District is seeking a Paraeducator Aide II to assist in special education classrooms under supervision, providing support to teaching staff and individual or group instruction based on students’ functional living and academic skills. Responsibilities include assisting in various SPED programs, moving and positioning students, aiding with health and hygiene
Qualifications
- Education/Experience: Any education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and skills is qualifying.
- Duties may include assisting students with intellectual, physical, or behavioral disabilities in daily activities and in classrooms.
- Ability to implement IEP goals and support instructional staff.
Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering instructional activities in special education classrooms.
- Provide individual or small group support based on students' needs.
- Assist with health, hygiene, and daily living tasks as required.
- Move and position students and equipment safely following district procedures.
- Support teachers in documenting progress toward IEP goals and preparing materials.
