Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs, a division of ChanceLight, seeks an Instructional Aide II to deliver personalized support to K-12 students and implement IEP/ITP/PBIP strategies in a dynamic special education setting.

You will collaborate with educators, maintain careful documentation, and contribute to assessments while promoting student safety and growth. Competitive starting rate and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or related field.
• Ability to obtain CA Emergency 30 Day Sub Permit within 90 days.
• Valid CA state driver's license.
• Ability to obtain crisis management certification.
• Minimum 3 years' experience supporting children, preferably in special education or behavioral health.
• Experience with lesson planning, classroom management and personalized instruction.
• Experience with autism and related disabilities.
• Ability to drive a company van and transport students.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and data management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized support to K-12 students, implementing IEP/ITP/PBIP.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to enrich education.
• Document student behaviors and progress clearly and timely.
• Contribute input for Functional Behavioral Assessments and PBIPs.
• Provide job coaching and on-campus/community-based vocational training.
• Assist with transportation and ensure safety on Spectrum vehicles.
• Maintain a clean, organized learning environment and comply with policies.
• Participate in mandatory meetings and professional development.
• Support new staff orientation and materials preparation.
• Assist with classroom operations and substitute teaching as needed.
