Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs, a division of ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education, is seeking an Instructional Aide to support K-12 students in a special education setting. You will help implement IEPs and provide classroom and community-based support to empower students to reach their potential.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, behavior management, and documentation, with a starting rate of $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree or higher in education or related field preferred.
• CA driver’s license required or ability to obtain.
• Crisis management training certification or ability to obtain.
• Paraprofessional/teaching assistant credential preferred.
• Experience with students in special education or behavioral health settings.
• Comfort with driving with students in a company van.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of instructional technology and basic office software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers to create a supportive learning environment.
• Deliver individualized instruction and behavioral interventions.
• Monitor students during lessons and ensure fidelity of instruction.
• Track student progress and communicate with teachers regularly.
• Assist with behavior management in coordination with staff.
• Support students in developing academic and life skills.
• Document student behavior and performance and report observations.
