Cambridge Public Schools is seeking an Acting Instructional Aide (7 hours) at Baldwin to support students with disabilities in implementing IEPs and assisting in the general education setting. The role emphasizes collaboration with special and general education staff in a welcoming school community.

The position requires an associates degree or 48 college credits, with Montessori training preferred. Candidates should be energetic, flexible, and able to work on the floor and in transitions.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 48 college credits required.
• Montessori training or experience preferred.
• Experience with students in urban environments.
• Willingness to be trained in de-escalation and safe restraint.

Responsabilités

• Assist with instruction for students with disabilities.
• Supervise students with disabilities during non-instructional activities and transitions.
• Collaborate with general education, special education, and related services staff.
• Modify for student learning and support accommodations in general education.
• Perform related duties as may be designated by the special educator or supervisor.
• Toileting of students may be required as a paraprofessional for CPS.
