Job summary

Graham & Parks School in Cambridge, MA is seeking an Instructional Aide to support elementary classroom instruction for 7 hours daily across 10 months, including recess and lunch coverage and bus duty.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assist reading/literacy, math, written language, and social-emotional development, applying accommodations and supporting general education staff to promote inclusion and student belonging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university preferred.
• Experience with children in an urban environment.
• Ability to support reading, math, and written language and social-emotional needs.

Responsibilities

• Work with multidisciplinary team to enhance students' educational, emotional, and behavioral development.
• Provide classroom support in reading/literacy, math, and written language.
• Collaborate with general and special education staff.
• Support formal and informal assessments as directed by teachers.
• Assist with accommodations in the general education setting and supervise recess or lunch as assigned.
• Toileting of students may be required as a paraprofessional.
