Job summary

Endeavor Elmhurst Hospital is offering a Special Care Nursery Nurse Transition Program for experienced nurses transitioning to a Level 2E NICU. You will train with a nurse preceptor for 16 weeks and receive dedicated education time.

The role requires active nursing licensure in Illinois, BLS, and NRP within six months, plus at least one year of inpatient RN experience. Night shifts with potential day precepted hours are available.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; If ADN is highest, must graduate with a BSN within five years of start date.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• Current BLS through AHA
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP) within six months of start date
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient RN experience

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care according to the Illinois Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Train with a nurse preceptor for 16 weeks with dedicated education time.
• Collaborate with unit staff to meet goals and monitor patient progress.
