Endeavor Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst, IL is offering a Special Care Nursery Nurse Transition Program. This Level 2E unit with 10 beds provides 16 weeks of preceptor-led training with dedicated education time for experienced nurses transitioning into the Special Care Nursery.

Participation supports professional growth within a collaborative team, with shifts including days for transition and nights for precepted duties, based in Elmhurst.

Qualificações

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; if Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (effective September 1, 2021)
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• Current BLS through AHA
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP) within six months of start date into position
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient RN experience required

Responsabilidades

• Provides professional nursing care according to the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies and procedures. Employs critical thinking skills, assesses patients' condition, recognizes changes, plans and evaluates care, monitors patients' progress, and records pertinent observations.
• During this program, candidates will train with a nurse preceptor for 16 weeks and will have dedicated education time.
• Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals; manages delegation of appropriate tasks to other staff.
