Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL is offering a Special Care Nursery RN Transition Program for experienced nurses. The role supports a Level 2E Special Care Nursery with 10 beds, training with a nurse preceptor for 16 weeks, and dedicated education time.

The position requires Illinois RN licensure, current BLS, NRP within six months, and at least one year of inpatient RN experience. Start date: January 18, 2027. Nights, with day-shift transition hours possible during the program.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; if ADN is highest, must obtain BSN within five years of start date.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP) within six months of start date
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient RN experience

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care according to the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Utilizes critical thinking to assess patient condition, plans and evaluates care, and documents observations.
• Functions as a team member and delegates appropriate tasks to other staff to meet unit goals
