Job summary

Endeavor Elmhurst Hospital is delighted to offer a Special Care Nursery Nurse Transition Program for experienced RNs. You will train with a nurse preceptor for 16 weeks in a Level 2E unit and provide care according to policy, documenting progress and supporting the team.

The program is night shift with potential day/night precepted shifts; requires IL RN licensure, BLS, NRP within six months, and 1 year inpatient RN experience.

Qualifications

Associate Degree in Nursing; if ADN is highest degree, must earn BSN within five years.
Current IL Registered Nurse licensure.
Current BLS through AHA.
NRP certification within six months of start date.
Minimum 1 year of inpatient RN experience.

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care per Illinois RN Practice Act and hospital policy.
Train under a nurse preceptor for 16 weeks in the Special Care Nursery.
Monitor patient progress, document observations, and delegate tasks as needed.
