Job summary

Endeavor Elmhurst Hospital seeks an experienced RN to join its Special Care Nursery Transition Program in Elmhurst, IL. This 16-week precepted program is designed for nurses transitioning into a Level 2E Special Care Nursery with 10 beds and dedicated education time.

The role requires an Illinois RN license, BLS, NRp within six months, and at least 1 year of inpatient RN experience. Start date is January 18, 2027, with night shifts and possible day shifts during preceptorship.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in nursing; if ADN, must graduate with a BSN within five years of position start date.
• Current State of Illinois RN licensure.
• Current BLS through AHA.
• NRP certification within six months of start date.
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care per Illinois RN Practice Act and hospital policies; assess, plan, and evaluate patient care; delegate tasks as appropriate; collaborate with the team.
• Train with a nurse preceptor for 16 weeks and maintain dedicated education time.
