Endeavor Elmhurst Hospital is pleased to offer a Special Care Nursery Nurse Transition Program. This Level 2E unit with 10 beds supports experienced nurses transitioning into the Special Care Nursery with 16 weeks of precepted training and dedicated education time.

The program requires IL RN licensure, BLS, NRP within six months, and at least one year of inpatient RN experience. Start date: January 18, 2027. Nights, with day-shift options for transition time.

Qualifications

• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure.
• Current BLS through AHA.
• NRP certification within six months of start date.
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care per Illinois RN scope and hospital policies.
• Train with a nurse preceptor for 16 weeks and participate in dedicated education.
