Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a Special Care Aide to support clients at home with personal care, meals, and daily living activities. You will travel between visits, assist with errands, and document client progress in a supportive, patient-focused environment.

The role offers flexible PRN scheduling, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities to grow within Personal Care Services as you gain experience and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required where state regulations apply.
• Minimum six months of experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals.
• NJ Board of Nursing CHHA License required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel within the assigned service area.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
• Prepare meals and assist with daily living activities.
• Perform light housekeeping and household support.
• Assist with errands and transportation when appropriate.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition.
• Maintain accurate documentation and visit records.
• Provide coverage for open shifts and urgent staffing needs.
• Travel throughout the assigned service area to support clients.
