Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 3–5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience, preferably in manufacturing/automotive.
  • Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, Title VII, FLSA, OSHA laws and tax withholdings.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong communication skills.

Description
  • Manage end-to-end recruiting for hourly production and salaried roles, including job postings, screening, interview coordination, and offer management
  • Partner with plant supervisors and department managers to forecast staffing needs and develop proactive talent pipelines
  • Facilitate comprehensive new hire orientation programs to ensure a seamless onboarding experience and rapid productivity
  • Maintain strict I-9 compliance and E-Verify processes in accordance with federal requirements
  • Track time-to-fill, offer acceptance rates, and onboarding satisfaction metrics to drive continuous improvement
  • Administer and interpret FMLA, ADA, EEO, and other federal and state employment law requirements
  • Maintain OSHA 300 logs and coordinate recordkeeping in partnership with the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team
  • Ensure consistent application and enforcement of company policies and the employee handbook
  • Stay current on evolving labor law requirements and proactively communicate relevant changes to HR leadership and plant management
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining compliant and organized HR documentation
  • Guide employees through benefits enrollment, plan changes, and annual open enrollment processes
  • Administer and track all leave of absence programs including FMLA, personal leave, and short-term disability
  • Partner with payroll to ensure accurate processing of compensation changes, shift differentials, and deductions
  • Support compensation review cycles and assist with job analysis and market benchmarking activities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within the HRIS, ensuring data integrity at all times
  • Generate and distribute recurring reports on headcount, turnover, absenteeism, and other key workforce metrics
  • Analyze HR data trends to surface insights and support data-driven decision-making by plant and HR leadership
  • Support system audits and data cleanup initiatives to maintain HRIS accuracy
  • Partner closely with the EHS team to support a culture of workplace safety and incident prevention
  • Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field
    • 3–5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience; manufacturing or automotive industry environment strongly preferred
    • Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws including FMLA, ADA, Title VII, FLSA, and OSHA
    • Demonstrated experience working with HRIS platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, or comparable systems
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Exceptional interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage employees at all levels of the organization
    • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
    • Spanish Language Proficiency Required: This position supports a large Spanish‑speaking workforce and requires the ability to communicate effectively in Spanish, both verbally and in writing, to ensure clear guidance, accurate information sharing, and positive employee relations.
