Job summary

S&ME is offering a 2027 Spark Summer Internship for Civil, Environmental, Construction, and Geotechnical Engineering. Open to current students across related degree programs, rising juniors, seniors, or graduate students.

The program spans May–August 2027 with hands-on experience, mentorship from professional-owners, and a focus on developing professional skills for career entry. Interns join cohorts, gain exposure to technical experts, and engage in real project activities.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a related degree program; Rising Juniors, Seniors, or Graduate students preferred.
• Related experience and/or campus, community, work-related leadership experience preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Out of town travel may be required.
• For technical roles the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions is required.
• Routine lifting may be required: 40 to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Support the Spark Internship Program across Civil, Environmental, Construction and Geotechnical engineering areas.
• Work alongside experienced professional-owners to gain hands-on exposure and learn all aspects of S&ME.
• Participate in a twelve-week internship from May to August 2027 with professional development.

Education

Enrolled in related degree program; Rising Juniors, Seniors, or Graduate students preferred
