Job description

Spanish Health Care Customer Service Representative

Location: United States, Texas, Austin

Description

The representative will mainly handle inbound calls to process PCP Change Requests, send member ID cards, explain how members can log into the portal, and update member demographics. Reporting to the Manager of Business Development, the Call Center Representative is responsible for managing a high volume of inbound and outbound calls related to health insurance, following call center scripts, identifying customer needs, clarifying information, assisting with enrollment using sales techniques, and maintaining records of interactions and outcomes to meet team and individual targets.

Essential Duties:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via inbound and outbound calls.
  • Access and interpret customer accounts and provider data to provide accurate answers.
  • Assist customers in the enrollment process using sales techniques.
  • Document all customer interactions thoroughly.
  • Maintain and report issues with communication equipment.
  • Complete assigned projects to support sales and organizational goals.
  • Adhere to quality and production standards.
  • Protect customer privacy and company proprietary information.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in health plan, managed care, health insurance, call center, inbound/outbound sales, or enrollment sales.
  • 1-2 years in insurance sales, managed care, or call center roles preferred. Experience with Marketplace enrollment is highly desirable.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Experience Level: Entry Level

Pay and Benefits:

The hourly pay is $20.00. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation benefits, employee assistance, PTO, and more, subject to eligibility and change.
